Realtors and You
Realtor code of ethics, home buyer realty, realtor open houses
Realtors have an important role to play in any real estate transaction.
They are the bridge between the buyer and the seller. They work very hard
to earn their commission drive buyers around town, buy an occasional
lunch and research the market. Buying or selling property can be a very
tedious and complicated task. Realtors help you in the entire process
till the final transaction is completed. Loyalty is an important virtue
of realtors. They protect your rights and integrity and are bound to inform
in case of any lacunae in the whole deal.
Seller Agency: Local realtors help you when selling your house. The contract
between seller and the agent is commonly referred to as a seller agency.
This agent or brokerage firm represents you and your interests. Thus,
it is important that you talk to them about concerns, their responsibilities
and if theres any special needs regarding the property or the person
that need not be shared till negotiations begin or otherwise.
Buyer agency: Local realtors also help you to buy a house of your choice.
A buyer agency is similar to a seller agency. The contract is drawn on
similar lines. Information is kept secret in the best interest of the
buyer. However, it is the obligation of the agent to inform the buyer
of any hidden information that he comes to know of regarding the seller,
his agent or the property hes selling.
Though many people avoid using a realtors services when they buy or sell
property, however, it is a good idea to hire one. Realtors can give you
a better price and protect your best interests. The only thing it costs
is commitment to that realtor; however time frames can be set in the contract.
Buying and selling property involves a lot of money, sometimes millions,
it is thus important to be aware of ones rights and the legalities involved.
Realtors can guide you through the harsh world of real estate; one must
hence be very sure of where lye the loyalties of the realtors involved.
The rest can be a stimulating experience for all.
